Angels Win OYA Bronco League World Series!
The Angels clinched the OYA Bronco League’s championship with a 15-1 victory over the Brewers on Thursday, June 26th at Centennial Park. Grant Lewis threw four strong innings as the starting pitcher—allowing just two hits and one run while striking out ten hitters. The Angels offense scored early and often in this one. Ronny Drabeck capped off a third inning Angels’ rally with a grand slam to deep leftfield. Dan Victoria held the Brewers scoreless in the fifth, and final, inning of play. Game balls were awarded to Ronny Drabeck, catcher Shawn McHale and pitchers Grant Lewis and Dan Victoria. The Angels finished the 2008 season with the league’s strongest overall record of 16-2. Congratulations to the Brewers for its OYA National League championship and to the Angels for its OYA American League and its Bronco League championships!
