Mustang – Commissioners: Dan McMillan and John Sass

Season Recap, by John Sass

I would like to thank all of the Mustang Managers, Coaches, and Parents for all of the time and effort you donated this season.   It is people like you who make the OYA a success.

The Mustang division was great; the kids had a lot of fun.  The season finished with all  30 teams completing all of their games and very little rain make-ups.

The playoffs were very exciting with many upsets.

The Brewers finished in the #1 Slot, winning the World Series.  They played phenomenal baseball all season under the Management of Mike Wood. Hats off to the Brewers.

The Athletics finished in the #2 Slot, against the Brewers in the World Series.  It is a Cinderella story for this team.  A first time Manager, Jim Massimilian  takes his team all the way to the World Series. Congrats. to the Athletics for a great season.

The Pirates finished in the #3 Slot winning the consolation game.  The Pirates batting was unbelievable, consistent all the way to the end.  We would expect nothing less with John Harder in command. A Salute to the Pirates.

The Mariners finished in the #4 Slot against the Pirates.  The Mariners played great baseball all season and upset the #1 seeded team in the American league in the playoffs, under the direction of Dan McMillan.  Great job Mariners.
