Bronco – Commissioners: Mike Malaychuk and Rey Guajardo

Season Recap, by Mike Malaychuk

With the dry weather (only 16 rainouts versus 76 last year), we were to complete all of the Bronco Division "league" games by June 1 nearly two weeks early.  This gave all of the teams several "inter-league" games which did not count in the standings.  During these games, players experienced several new positions including pitcher!  Kids also had the opportunity to bat in different spots in the batting order.  This could not have been achieved without the cooperation of all 20 Bronco managers who were outstanding this past season.  The all star games were both fun and exciting.  The playoffs provided some great baseball along with some upsets.  The World Series came down to the exciting last pitch.

World Series Game Recap, by John Litrenta

This was a great game by two very good, well coached teams. The Marlins played excellent defense and had outstanding pitching by Cody Marks and Eric Waner for better of 7 innings. Runs were hard to come by for both teams on a regular basis. But each team matched each other for a tie game that went into the 7th inning.

The D-Rays had their pitching problems solved when Jim Litrenta threw 4

solid innings, then handed the game over to his Brother John Litrenta

who closed the game for the win. The game ended with two strikeouts

with the Marlins having the tying run on third base. Final Score: D-rays 6, Marlin 5
